Most everyone likes their own bags, we like the cheap bags. We will say this, brand name bags doesn't mean it’s a quality bag. Thicker is not necessarily better, most of the time it’s the seams that are leaking. Take your cheap thin bags and double bag. Do not just put one bag inside the other and proceed to apply the BagButton. Please read double bagging below.

Double bagging;

If you wish your vacuum packed items to be airtight for a few seasons or more, “double bag”. Vacuum pack your item in the first bag; remove BagButton and o-ring then twist remaining bag and tie off. Put that bag into another bag, knot first and repeat. Sealing one bag to the other makes a very good seal and will take a bad bag and make it a good one!

Do not use bags that are connected together [perforated] and have to be torn apart.  Ripping them apart can easily compromise the seams and/or reduce their integrity.

We’ve had a lot of customers write in with suggestions as to what bag to use, for example.

1. Rite Aid clear garbage bag 33 x 36  0.75 mil thick
2. Fred Meyers clear garbage bag 33 x 45 and 0.90 mil thick
3. Home Depot and many other hardware stores carry 33-70 gallon clear construction bags.
4. Costco 33 x 36 clear Kirkland bags 0.75 mil thick! We love these bags!
5. Glad makes a 13 gallon white trash liner that is a food grade bag.

There are so many difference sizes of garbage bags on the market, we have found some as small as 6 gallons and up to 90 gallons. They can be clear, white, black, gray, and even blue in color. It’s good to use clear bags but not necessary.

There are so many bags out there waiting to be the next truly original space bag and we will try to get to most of them. Check back for our reports here on the site. We will keep you informed.

Postal Services and Mailing Packages.

You can save the cost of one BagButton over and over again and again. The more you put in a box by compressing the items, the less boxes you will need to ship. You will not only be compressing your items but preserving and protecting them during shipping.  With BagButton and plastic bags, space saving is not just for the home anymore.

BagButton is an instant trash compactor.
Most of us use a garbage bag to line the inside of our trash can and with the BagButton you will compact that garbage right in the can.

The camping trash will not take up the whole back end of your vehicle ever again. What you don’t burn you will reduce by half, lock in the odors and bring back to dispose of.

A lot of us already own a hand pump for airing up our rafts, kids toys, pools etc. When using the inflate deflate hand pump for trash compacting, you will use the big tip adapter on the end of the hose and shove the tip all the way into and through the BagButton's opening. On deflate, remove the air, remove the BagButton and o-ring and tie off your garbage.

Moving and Storage Facility,
1. Protect items from damage, mildew; dust, dirt and moisture during and after a move.

3. A very big concern when storing your belongings in a storage facility is damage.
4. Seal out moisture and mildew, dirt and soiling from nearby items, bugs, and dust.
5. Clothing, bedding, pillows, towels, sheets, linens, seasonal items, stuffed toys, etc, will all be protected.
6. Storing some items in (filing cabinet, dresser drawers, unused suitcases, trunks boxes etc. will further protect your belongings).

Emergency Kit
Family Disaster Supplies Kit Includes BagButton;

Disasters happen anytime and anywhere. And when disaster strikes, you may not have much time to respond. A highway spill of hazardous material could mean instant evacuation. A winter storm could confine your family at home. An earthquake, flood, tornado or any other disaster could cut off basic services such as gas, water, electricity and telephones for days.

Storms, Evacuation and Home confinement;
Your family will cope best by preparing for disaster before it strikes. One way to prepare is by assembling a Disaster Supplies Kit. Once disaster hits, you won't have time to shop or search for supplies. But if you've gathered supplies in advance, your family can endure an evacuation or home confinement.
Vacuum packaging is a major asset in preparing your disaster kit.

There are six basics you should stock in your home;

Water, food, first aid supplies, clothing, bedding, tools, emergency supplies and special items.

Keep the items that you would most likely need during an evacuation in an easy-to-carry container. Possible containers include a large covered trash can container, camping backpack, or a duffle bag and large plastic water proof bags.

Store your kit in a convenient place known to all family members;

Keep a smaller version of the Disaster Supplies Kit in the trunk of your car. Keep items in air tight plastic bags. Change your stored water supply every six months so it stays fresh. Rotate your stored food every six months.

Re-think your kit and family needs at least once a year. Replace batteries, update clothes, etc.
Ask your physician or pharmacist about storing prescription medications;

For Baby*

Formula, Diapers, Bottles, Powdered milk, Medications.

For Adults*

Heart and high blood pressure medication, Insulin, Prescription drugs, Denture needs, Contact lenses and supplies, Extra eye glasses.

Entertainment;
Games , Books, etc;

Important Family Documents;

* Keep these records in a waterproof, portable container.
* Will, insurance policies, contracts, deeds, stocks and bonds.
* Passports, social security cards, immunization records.
* Bank account numbers.
* Credit card account numbers and companies.
